Halloween Spidey-Bites

October 29, 2015 Leave a Comment

This is one of my favorite party appetizers! It’s always a hit with little and big kids alike! Super easy too! I like to use sweet potato for the base but you could use a crostini cracker too! Happy Halloween!

Halloween Spidey-Bites

Ingredients

  • 16 sweet potato rounds sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 8 wedges laughing cow spreadable Swiss cheese
  • 1 can large black olives
  • 1 can per sliced olives
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • parsley to garnish

Instructions

  1. Brush sweet potato rounds with oil, lightly salt and roast at 425 degrees until golden brown and softened, about 10-15 min depending on thickness. You could also microwave for 2-3 min and then broil until tops are toasty brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before adding cheese and toppings.
  3. For the spiders slice a large whole olive in half for middle belly and then slice pre-sliced olives in half for legs.
  4. Layer swee potato round, cheese, olives and then sprinkle with parsley.
  5. You could also use a crostini cracker instead of the sweet potato. Enjoy!
