Happy December friends! Nothing makes me happier than spreading Christmas cheer during the holidays! I love to surprise neighbors and friends with healthy treats all month long! It’s no surprise food is my love language… feeeeed me! These candy cane cocoa power balls have been on repeat and a major hit around here!
His vs Hers
I came up with this combo after watching my adorable hubby indulge in a peppermint milkshake on date night! He has a sweet tooth big enough for the both of us! Bless him. I was on a mission to create a sweet peppermint treat I could also enjoy, one without the excess sugar and food allergy side effects.
You guys… mission accomplished! These WIN all. the. things. Recently rated number one Clean Eats powerball by all family members! Which are by far my toughest critics, so I know its a keeper! I’d even bet Mr. Clean Eats would choose these over another peppermint milkshake!!
Curious who has the bigger sweet tooth in your house, you or your spouse?
Sharing is caring
I took these to a cookie exchange last week as well as my Oh Snap! Powerballs and they both disappeared like magic! If you’re craving cookies and need to stay on track this month, whip up a batch of holiday powerballs! You’re tastebuds and waistline will thank you!
Candy Cane Crunch
I recently found pre-crushed candy canes in the stocking stuffer section at Michaels, which is a lot less time consuming and messy than crushing them yourself. I”ll be using these from now on. You can find the candy cane crunch brand on Amazon here.
This recipe may be inspired by the worlds most popular traditional Christmas candy, but don’t be fooled, they can be enjoyed all year long. I’ve had so many people tell me they taste exactly like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie or a peppermint patty! Two of my faves!
Whenever you choose to make them, I hope you love them as much as we do! Enjoy!
We elves try to stick to the four basic food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup. -Buddy

These look heavenly!!!! I love your power ball recipes! I don’t have cashew butter. I have peanut butter but not sure if that will taste good…what do you think??
shannon
Hi Lindsay! I’m so happy ti hear that! You could definitely use PB but it does over power the final flavor, cashew is more mellow. I grab mine at my local Kroger!
